Bought this final week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of security in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received very quickly using Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my house with two distinctive doors and works wonders! With this lock on, it will make it tremendously complicated for an intruder to come in to your space. Though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which tends to make it honestly solid! This makes the entire portable lock made of metal! As soon as installed, it was tough for me to go in the dwelling. I assume that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Terrific additional measure of security! I'll sleep improved being aware of that even if an intruder manage to choose the locks of my hotel room, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this portable lock in place!

I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some transform that would make it less complicated to use on "imperfect" doors.
